Dr. Martin Vogt coordinates the German NCP Nanotechnology for the 7th EU Research Framework Programme at the VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH in Düsseldorf He holds a 'Diplom' in Physics from the Humboldt-University in Berlin and a PhD in Condensed Matter Theory from the University of Cambridge. Before joining VDI in 2007, Martin worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University for 2 years.

EU Call - Information / The Nanotechnology and Nanosciences Topics in the NMP Work Programme 2010
At the end of July, the European Commission will publish the 4th Calls for Collaborative Proposals in Theme 4 "Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and New Production Technologies (NMP)" as part of the implementation of the 7th EU Framework Research Programme (FP 7). This call will fund research projects with a total estimated budget of 300 Mio. €. I will provide a general introduction to the NMP theme and a short discussion of the Nanotechnology-related funding topics in the Work Programme 2010.
